Inspired by the vastness of the waters surrounding Stradbroke Island/ Minjerribah, including the tea-tree lakes on the interior of the island. It is a place where time seems to stop. The nets are a reference to our connectedness - hailing from the bilum weaving technique I grew up with in Papua New Guinea. Filled with textural detail and layers of colour, this piece brings the light of our country into your interior environment. Part of a series of aerial landscapes.

If you would like to commission a similar piece in a different size or colour palette, please get in touch by email: sarah@dalyandx.com.

We love making art that is perfect for you.
